Explanation of Grades Used to Describe Condition of Magazines
Very Fine (VF) = Significantly above average condition. Mint condition.
Probably has never been read or handled except to be
put in some protective covering.
Fine (F) = Above average collectible condition. No obvious flaws.
Has been protected from normal aging by wrapping in
plastic, etc.
Very Good (VG) = Average collectible condition. No serious flaws,
but may show signs of aging and some minor flaws.
This category is rather broad and is therefore
often subdivided by using VG-F, VG, and G-VG to
distinguish among various subgrades of VG.
Good (G) = Somewhat below average collectible condition. At least one
and possibly several obvious flaws. Signs of aging more
severe than VG. Tape on spine. Torn covers. Missing back
covers. Missing front covers that have been replaced with
black and white or possibly full color duplicates.
When describing condition of magazines having G quality or
somewhat below, it is normal to state what the significant
flaws are that are present in the particular issue for sale.
Fair/Poor (P) = Reading condition, but probably not of interest for
collecting purposes.
NA = Not Available Already SOLD, part of our premanent collection,
one whose fair price has not yet been determined,
or one that is still in the process of being
indexed by CyberSpace Spinner.
